In the late 90's, FAKE GAH costumes started to hit the marketplace. They originated from one seller, who initially sold the costumes by using photo's of a real suit that had (I assume) been sold in the past. When busted for sending out costumes that did NOT match his photo's, the seller started using photo's of his actual suits. Sadly, this didn't matter much as most people didn't recognize the costumes as fakes. If you have a costume that has an insignia that matches the one below, it's fake. If your costume has zippers in the wrists of the sleeves, it's fake. The pants are always made in the 3rd season style, with the hooks on the bottom of the boot spats. No "baseball sock" style boot spats (the only style seen in the 1st & 2nd season) were found with the fakes. Hard to say for sure how many fakes were produced, sold, and resold over the years. My guess is somewhere between 6 and 8, so be alert and BUYER BEWARE!!!
